About the Role
We are recruiting for an Assistant Pre-Construction Manager to support the delivery of pre-construction strategy and tender development for major industrial construction projects.
Working within the Industrial Division of a leading Tier 1 main contractor, you will play a key role in supporting bid planning, design coordination, value engineering, and early supply chain engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven pre-construction professional ready to take the next step in their career.
Based in Kettering, you will help support a strong pipeline of developments including logistics hubs, distribution centres, manufacturing facilities, warehousing, and large-scale industrial builds.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with pre-construction activities from concept through to tender submission and contract award
Support the development of tender programmes, bid strategies, and delivery methodologies
Help coordinate design teams, consultants, and supply chain partners
Contribute to value engineering, buildability reviews, and risk assessments
Support procurement planning and early subcontractor engagement
Assist in producing high-quality client proposals, presentations, and tender documentation
Maintain accurate tender records, project handover information, and bid tracking data
Support stakeholder communication across internal teams and external partners
Candidate Requirements
Experience in pre-construction, bid support, design coordination, or project planning within construction
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple work streams
Commercial awareness and understanding of tendering, procurement, and risk
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
A construction-related qualification or degree is desirable
Industrial sector experience preferred, but not essential
Industrial construction exposure is highly desirable
