Position: Site Engineer (Contract)
Site Engineer - Highways & Earthworks
Contract | Early 2026 Start | Northamptonshire

We're currently recruiting on behalf of a leading highways contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to support a major highways project in Northamptonshire, starting early 2026.

This role will suit a hands-on engineer with strong setting-out capability and experience working within a highways and earthworks environment.

The Role

· Setting out for highways and earthworks works

· Producing and maintaining as-built records

· Completing quality documentation in line with project requirements

· Supporting day-to-day engineering activities on site

· Working closely with site management and subcontractors to ensure accurate delivery

Essential Requirements

· Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways projects

· Strong setting out capability

· Experience with as-built generation

· Highways and earthworks experience essential

· Good understanding of quality processes and site documentation

Desirable

· Competent with surveying equipment and engineering software

· Ability to work independently and as part of a site team
