Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant

A Division of Wabtec UK Ltd, Northampton‑based firm Bearward Engineering manufactures radiators for the power generation industry and is currently recruiting for a Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant.

Location: Northampton, NN4 8HJ

Contract Type: Permanent, Full‑Time

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00am to 16:30pm;
Friday, 08:00am to 15:30pm

Act as a business partner to the Finance Director, supporting financial planning, reporting, treasury management and compliance activities. The role is critical in delivering accurate financial insights, driving strategic decisions and ensuring adherence to global standards.

• Provide and interpret financial data to support business decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
• Support development and management of budgets and STRAP.
• Prepare financial statements, reconciliations and quarterly reporting.
• Manage accounts receivable and cash from operations reporting.
• Oversee ERP‑related processes and cost accounting.
• Support treasury management, including cash optimisation and controls.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, US GAAP, audit, tax and international reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and provide ad‑hoc financial analysis.

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with post‑qualification experience.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (Oracle, Power
  
  BI, Excel, PowerPoint, Blackline).
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
