Coating Technician – CVD / Spray Coating / Dispensing Robots
Location: Para Tech Coating UK Ltd, Unit 3, Gladstone Road, Northampton, NN5 7RX
Contract: Part-time (minimum 25 hours per week) with regular overtime available
Working hours- Monday to Friday: minimum 5 hours per day for flexibility however workload will require minimum 7‑8 hour days (worked between 7:00am and 5:00pm)
- Option to start earlier (we open at 7:00am) to work additional hours
- Overtime: most or alternate Saturdays (consistently throughout the year)
- Overtime: Some Sundays (availability varies more)
- Weekdays: £12.21 – £15.00 per hour
- Saturdays: £18.32 – £22.50 per hour
- Sundays: £24.42 – £30.00 per hour

We’re now looking for dedicated Technicians to join our team. Depending on experience and suitability, successful applicants may be offered a Coating Technician or Process Technician position following interview.
The roleYou’ll support the preparation, coating, process operation, and inspection of customer components to exacting standards. Work may include:
- Running or supporting CVD coating equipment (e.g., parylene systems)
- Applying liquid coatings using a spray booth and related equipment
- Using or supporting CNC‑style adhesive / coating dispensing robots (where applicable)
- Incoming inspection of customer products, recording serial numbers and identifying non‑conformities
- Precision cleaning of products prior to coating (training and PPE provided)
- Applying and removing masking materials accurately to technical specifications
- Assisting with coating processes (Conformal and Parylene) and associated processes such as potting and staking
- Conducting 100% magnified inspections at multiple stages to verify quality and compliance
- Safe and careful manual handling of small, delicate and high‑value components
- Completing job cards, process records and traceability paperwork accurately
- Maintaining a clean, organised and ESD‑safe workspace
- Packing finished products for dispatch
- Working with production and quality teams to meet schedule and performance targets
- Be prepared to work in a secure environment without access to personal electronic equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in high‑quality work
- Confidence handling small or delicate components
- Strong organisation and timekeeping
- Able to follow procedures (safety, ESD, quality) and work calmly under pressure
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Experience in coating, masking, inspection, spray booth work, or production finishing
- Experience operating process equipment (CVD / vacuum / automated dispensing / robotics / CNC‑like systems)
- COSHH or First Aid training
