. The Borgen Project is a global advocacy organization working to reduce extreme poverty. The 12‑week, part‑time (12 hours per week) remote programme is unpaid, but college credit may be available.
- Advocacy Leadership Development:
Meet with members of government in your district/constituency, represent The Borgen Project at business, political and community events, and mobilise constituents to support key poverty‑reduction legislation. - Fundraising Development:
Learn to fundraise, create a personal fundraising campaign and meet fundraising targets. - Recruitment:
Update job postings, inform groups and classes of openings, intro to recruitment platforms and listen in to interviews. - Marketing and Promotion:
Pitch story ideas to print, broadcast and digital media; utilise social media and develop strategies for web‑based messaging.
- No prior experience required – we’re looking for individuals who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs.
- Unpaid internship; college credit may be available.
- Start dates:
New programmes begin every month – choose the month you wish to start.
