Days and Hours of Work
: 40 hours per week. 8 hours per day worked on a rotational basis between 6:00am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Rate of Pay
: £12.40 per hour.
Job Purpose To assist the Inventory Team Lead in the effective and accurate maintenance of the Branch Inventory System and to audit all inventory related tasks/functions ensuring correct procedures are followed.
- Maintain accurate slot data.
- Ensure correct processing of new and discontinued lines.
- Print shelf edge labels and productivity description labels.
- Process and audit all stock write offs.
- Count stock accurately in accordance with schedule.
- Audit and investigate all count overrides/stock discrepancies.
- Audit and correct batch refill/billing failures and goods inwards defaults.
- Record daily all count discrepancy items.
- Assist with reconciliation of company stock takes as required.
- Carry out any reasonable request as determined by Branch Management.
- Manage recall process, follow & action.
- Deal with all stock queries received & action.
- Expiry date check.
- Short dated stock check.
- Manage & follow up quarantine stock.
- Manage damages & destruction process.
- Support other teams when needed, ensuring cross-training between departments where necessary.
- Work with emails and communication platforms such as Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
- Complete reports and handle any other tasks as required by the business.
- Combine warehouse-based duties with office-based administrative tasks to support operational efficiency.
Key Working Relationships Regular liaison with Warehouse Manager, Supervisors, Warehouse Operatives and other employees within the Service Centre.
Level Of Decision Making Required to act on own initiative and work unsupervised at times.
- High Visual Accuracy.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate numeracy and literacy.
- Customer care.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures within the warehouse environment.
- Ability to work at height, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move materials as needed.
- Flexibility to work shifts and meet operational needs.
- Any previous experience of working in a warehouse environment.
- Inventory experience.
