OPSEU C-25-050 - Pharmacist - Pharmacy
Pay rate, benefits and other terms and conditions are as per the OPSEU 662 Collective Agreement.
The Department of Pharmacy Services is responsible for obtaining, storing, preparing, and distributing all medications for patients in the hospital and outpatient clinics. Our goal is to provide a drug distribution system which is safe, secure, reliable and efficient. Drug distribution is supported by Pharmacy Assistants, Regulated Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists.
Qualifications- Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPhm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm
D) degree required - Experience in a Hospital setting is preferred
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention required (training delivered by Health Centre upon hire)
- Good attendance and work record required
- Excellent clinical assessment skills in identifying and solving drug related problems required
- Self-directed and able to work collaboratively in a team environment required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
- Ability to drive to multi sites required
- Must demonstrate commitment to ensure the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors
- Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
- Must demonstrate commitment to the values of this organization
- Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required. All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level
