Nordic Minesteel Technologies (NMT) is currently seeking an experienced
Welder
to join our night shift team in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment. This role is essential to the successful manufacture of heavy mining equipment, ensuring components are accurately fitted and welded to meet safety, strength, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting and be comfortable working independently during evening hours while maintaining productivity and precision.

• Welding of light and heavy steel, aluminum and stainless steel plate & structural members
• Fit and tack components prior to welding, ensuring proper alignment and dimensions
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions
• Setup, operate and maintain welding equipment
• Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials for fit-up and welding
• Provide backup for other fabrication and processing operations as needed
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support production schedules

• Experienced with GMAW, FCAW, MCAW processes
• CWB certified (or ready to be recertified)
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, welding process procedures, welding symbols and tolerances.
• Experience using an overhead crane
• Knowledge of welding safety practices and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous fitting experience is an asset

• Hours of Operation: 03:30 p.m. to 02:00 a.m.
• Shift Premium: $1.00 per hour.
