NPD Technologist

A leading manufacturer in Cheshire is expanding its innovation team and is looking to appoint an NPD Technologist. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, forward-thinking business with a strong reputation for quality, craft, and continuous product development.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop new bakery products from concept through to launch

* Support customer presentations, product trials and factory scale-ups

* Work collaboratively with Technical, Operations, and Commercial teams

* Manage project timelines and ensure accurate documentation and specifications

* Conduct benchmarking, ingredient sourcing, product testing and shelf-life evaluations

* Contribute ideas, insights and innovation to help drive category-leading products

About You

* Experience in a food manufacturing environment — bakery experience is highly desirable

* Strong understanding of ingredients, processes, and product development lifecycle

* Creative thinker with an eye for detail and a passion for flavour and quality

* Confident communicator able to present ideas internally and to customers

* Strong organisational and project management skills

* Proactive, curious, and eager to develop within a growing team
