A leading engineering and environmental consultancy is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Acoustic Consultant to join its growing team in Thetford. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with 1-2 years of experience in acoustics to develop their career as part of an expanding specialist team working on diverse and rewarding projects.

As an Assistant Acoustic Consultant, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality acoustic assessments and contribute to projects across sectors such as infrastructure, building design, and environmental planning. You’ll gain valuable hands‑on experience, develop your technical expertise, and work alongside a supportive and multidisciplinary group of engineers and consultants.

• £28,000 - £35,000 DOE + comprehensive benefits package

• Conduct environmental noise surveys and acoustic measurements
• Prepare detailed technical reports and assessments
• Assist with noise modelling and acoustic design work
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and project teams
• Support the wider acoustics team on a range of multidisciplinary projects

• Degree in Acoustics, Physics, or a related discipline
• 1-2 years’ experience in environmental or building acoustics
• Membership (or working towards) of the IOA preferred
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility for occasional travel
