This is a fantastic chance to join the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, working within the Active Journeys team as our new Project Officer, in Norfolk. As Project Officer, you will play a dynamic role in planning and delivering practical walking, wheeling, and cycling projects that make a real difference to communities across Norfolk. You will engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
This role involves regular travel, with work taking place at different locations to support and deliver projects for the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust. While we prioritise the use of active and sustainable travel you may be required to drive to some of our more rural areas. Key Responsibilities
- Planning and managing small clearly defined projects or experience of delivering work packages as part of a project.
- Working as part of a team and building meaningful and collaborative relationships, both internally and externally.
- This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting out and about, interacting with a variety of people, and delivering events.
- Interviews will be held at the Norfolk County Council Office during the 4th or 5th February 2026. If you are unable to attend in person, please contact us for alternative arrangements.
- Hands‑on experience planning and delivering projects, activities, or events.
- Comfortable managing and working with different stakeholders.
- Able to collaborate with people from a variety of backgrounds and keep things running smoothly.
- Good understanding of active travel and the challenges faced by communities dealing with inequalities.
- Knowledge and understanding of behaviour change theories and tools.

Base:
