The purpose of the role is to provide an effective financial support function to the local management team and actively participate in the decision making and evaluation processes, whilst ensuring all Group reporting requirements are achieved.
What You'll Do As Management Accountant- Preparation of periodic financial statements, including profit and loss account, balance sheet and forecasts
- Analyse variances to budget, forecast and prior periods and provide accurate and concise commentaries
- Provide cover to the finance assistants and support to aid their ongoing training
- Support the Finance Manager and the management team by providing cost analysis and financial insight
- Work closely with the Finance Manager and management team to produce the annual budget
- Support the team's growth and aim to maximise efficiencies by reviewing and updating reports and processes
- Any other accounting duties reasonably required by the Finance Manager
- Part qualified and actively working towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Previous experience of working in a finance role
- Experience with in the construction sector would also be an advantage but is not essential
- Ability to demonstrate a professional approach to the working environment, possess commercial awareness, and strong communication skills
- Ability to research and analyse data
- Well organised with strong mathematical skills and high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel
