Emergency Dispatchers – Chelmsford

• Deploy emergency ambulance resources across a specific geographical area in accordance with local and national performance targets.
• Communicate with operational colleagues and teams within the Control Room to ensure the most appropriate emergency ambulance response and help is arranged.
• Work resiliently, professionally and prioritise workloads, remaining calm under pressure and making quick decisions.
• Support a high level of clinical quality and provide the best possible patient care.

• At least 2 years experience within a customer focused environment where you prioritised and managed your workload in a busy, challenging and fast paced environment.
• 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (or an equivalent qualification) including English.
• Good communication skills, IT literate, experience of using computerised systems and multitasking.
• Awareness of equality and diversity and good geographical knowledge of the area.
• Understanding of the Ambulance Service/NHS is beneficial but not essential.

This role involves working a rotating shift pattern which covers days and nights including weekends and special/public holidays.
