Rotational Physiotherapist

Are you a newly qualified Physiotherapist looking to gain experience in a rotational position? Or a current Physiotherapist who is looking to widen your knowledge and skills set?

Norfolk Community Health and Care are excited to offer this excellent opportunity as a Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapist. This rotational position offers experience in a wide variety of settings, which are either community based or ward based. The Trust is passionate about our staff's development and offers a wide range of internal training opportunities to support your development, some very specific to the location where you are based, others to develop your management skills going forward.

You will also have an opportunity to attend the rotational development days, which are led by you as a group.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to join our integrated teams with experienced therapists and therapy assistants, who work closely alongside our nursing colleagues. There will be a requirement to travel to clinics and patients within the Community, therefore a valid driving licence and access to transport is essential.

To apply you will need to have a BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy and be registered with the HCPC or an undergraduate student nearing course completion. It is also open to those returning to practice.

Flexible working is possible. Weekend and evening working may be required as per the demands of the Service.

Main duties of the job

The Post Graduate Physiotherapist Rotational Scheme offers a broad base of clinical experience. Staff on the Rotation will be expected to work on any of the placements on the scheme.

The duration of the rotations are 6 months and currently covers the following areas:

  • Community Rehabilitation – Various locations
  • Willow Unit – New state‑of‑the‑art centre
  • Caroline House – Level 1 neurological rehabilitation unit providing specialist care and rehabilitation for patients with complex neurological injuries
  • Stroke ESD
  • Community Neurology
  • Urgent Community Response Teams
  • General In‑Patient Rehabilitation

The rotations are based across various locations in Norfolk which include North Norfolk, South Norfolk and Norwich, for example.
