Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist - Acute Hospital

Full time - Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Role Overview
Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is seeking an experienced Band 6 or 7 Occupational Therapist to support their acute hospital teams on a short-term basis.
This role requires a confident and adaptable OT with broad acute hospital experience, particularly in acute rehabilitation and discharge planning. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs, support recovery, and facilitate safe and timely discharges.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention within an acute hospital setting
* Support patients through acute rehabilitation pathways
* Complete comprehensive discharge planning and ensure safe transitions of care
* Work collaboratively with the wider MDT including nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, and discharge coordinators
* Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service improvement where required
Essential Requirements
* HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
* Proven experience working at Band 6 or 7 level within an acute NHS hospital
* Strong clinical skills across acute rehab and discharge planning
* Ability to work independently and within a busy multidisciplinary environment
* Fully compliant with NHS agency standards prior to submission
