The responsibilities of a Chemical Plant Manager are as follows :

• To constantly be looking at the improvement of processes to implement changes and, therefore, reduce costs and drive efficiencies on the plant unit
• Looking at cost and time efficiencies of the plant unit, identifying delays and solving these delays
• Ability to analyse, identify, evaluate, and mitigate technical and project risks day to day to calculate Plant Reliability
• Achieving production targets daily, weekly, monthly & yearly in order to meet the overall company targets and strategy
• The ideal candidate will have the ability to problem solve, whilst also possessing strong attention to detail to ensure the smooth operation of the plant

To fulfil these responsibilities as a Chemical Plant Manager you will have the following skills / experience :

• Degree qualified (Chemical Engineering)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and make decisions
• Thorough understanding of critical Health & Safety environments (experience within an Upper Tier COMAH environment is desirable)
• Proven experience in improving the manufacturing process (reducing cost, improving efficiency etc) using statistical methods, CAPEX
• Experience in, and a strong understanding of lean manufacturing processing
