Taverham Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to expand our team as we enter the final stages of our hospital expansion.

The role will be mostly based at Taverham Veterinary Hospital, although occasional cover at our Longwater Lane and Bure Valley branch may be necessary. The candidate will use their clinical skills across various hospital areas and form strong bonds with clients and their pets in a branch practice environment. The position requires a motivated, compassionate, and driven Nurse to assist with anaesthesia, surgery, diagnostic processes, nurse consultations, laboratory work, and inpatient care.

This is a full-time role working 38.5 hours per week over 4 days. Our weekend rota consists of 1:8 full weekends (Sat & Sun, 08:20-16:00 with TOIL), and 1:8 Saturday or Sunday only, 09:00-15:00. There are no out of hours or on-call responsibilities with this position. Part‑time applications will be considered.

Our hospital status practice is home to a brand new CT scanner, dental suite, new and improved canine kennels, ISFM gold standard cat kennels, dedicated isolation facilities and four operating theatres. Within the hospital our team regularly performs ultrasonography, cardiology and orthopaedic surgeries. Longwater Lane is a one‑vet branch surgery offering personal and high‑quality services including surgical procedures and an in‑house laboratory.

The practice is also home to a luxury veterinary‑led cattery and an excellent hydrotherapy and physiotherapy service.

Currently we have 34 Veterinary Surgeons, 41 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 5 Student Veterinary Nurses, 9 Animal Nursing Assistants and 30+ Support staff. Many of our Vets and Nurses hold certificates in multiple disciplines. We support charities such as Street Vet, Dogs Trust, and regularly fundraise with quiz and chips nights.
