Veterinary Receptionist - FTC

Taverham Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full-time receptionist to join our superstar reception team. As well as being an outstanding receptionist, roles may also include being on the "shop floor", focusing on delivering an excellent customer experience, making sure that we can offer the gold standard service that we have always strived for. This role is to cover maternity leave for approximately 9 months.

Duties:

• Greeting and assisting clients
• Maintaining accurate records using our computer systems
• Handling client enquiries both in person and over the phone
• Taking payments

With our hospital branch in Taverham and a third branch practice in Aylsham, we’re a leading veterinary team in the region. We have a large team of 34 Veterinary Surgeons, 41 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 5 Student Veterinary Nurses, 9 Animal Nursing Assistants, and 30+ Support Staff. Many of our vets and nurses hold additional qualifications across multiple disciplines.

We’re also passionate about giving back! We proudly support Street Vet Norwich, helping pets of those experiencing homelessness, and work closely with Dogs Trust, performing hydrotherapy to their residents. Our team regularly fund raises, with our latest charity event raising over £2,000!

We are looking for candidates with proven reception knowledge, computer literate and have experience in providing excellent care and enjoy working in a busy environment to join our Longwater team.

You will work 33.63 hours per week on a rota basis:
Monday 8:30 am–5 pm, Tuesday off, Wednesday 10 am–6:30 pm, Thursday 8:30 am–5 pm, with one in four Fridays (11:30 am–8 pm), Saturdays (8:30 am–2 pm) and Sundays (8:30 am–6:30 pm), plus two Bank Holidays per year.
