Your new roleAs a Homelessness Housing Officer, you'll manage allocations and lettings, tenancy management, and address anti-social behaviour for properties funded through Housing First and Foundations initiatives. You'll work closely with support agencies and internal teams to ensure tenancy sustainment, provide welfare advice, and help customers enjoy peaceful occupation of their homes. This role involves multi-agency collaboration, court attendance for enforcement actions, and contributing to service reviews and improvements.
What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including Maths & English) or equivalent
  • A valid driving licence (travel across Norfolk required)
  • Strong understanding of housing and homelessness legislation, tenancy agreements, and welfare benefits
  • Experience in tenancy management, enforcement, and multi-agency working
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with resilience to handle challenging situations
  • Desirable : CIH housing qualification (or working towards), experience in the housing sector, and knowledge of Housing First principles
