URBAN DESIGN ROLES
We are a multidisciplinary team of Urban Planners, Urban Designers, and Heritage Consultants, with Urban Design embedded in the heart of our day‑to‑day work. Our projects span planning applications, master planning, regeneration, visualisation, viability assessments, public engagement, site promotion, healthcare, and education.
With a long‑standing reputation and a diverse portfolio of clients, sectors, and geographic reach, we’re now looking to expand our Urban Design and Master Planning capabilities. To support this growth, we’re seeking to appoint both an Assistant Urban Designer and a Senior/Associate‑level Urban Designer.
WORKING AT P&DGAs part of our team, you’ll collaborate closely with planners, clients, and external technical consultants to produce a wide array of drawings and documents that support the planning and development process. You’ll contribute to both public and private sector projects, ranging from small infill sites to large‑scale strategic urban settlements and key public infrastructure.

OUR REQUIREMENTSWe’re seeking an enthusiastic and talented Assistant Urban Designer, with a minimum of one year’s post‑degree experience in master planning and placemaking. The successful candidate will be capable of contributing to projects across a variety of scales and design stages.
- Strong visual communication skills, including hand drawing, Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, and ideally Sketch Up.
- A proactive, innovative, and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute positively to team dynamics.
- Effective problem‑solving capabilities
- A minimum of one year’s post‑degree experience in Urban Design.
- A degree in a relevant discipline related to Urban Design.
- A master’s degree in Urban Design is preferred but not essential.
- Conceptual and detailed layout plans
- Visualisations and promotional materials
- Design assessments and presentations
- Bid documents and Design & Access Statements
- Design coding and project management
