Maintenance Engineer

Job Overview

Convertech – Double E Group is looking for two proactive Maintenance Engineers to join our food manufacturing site in Beeston. The role offers a flexible working pattern, no night shifts, and a balance between work and life.

• Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance across plant, high‑speed packaging and site services.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and project work including electrical installation and modification.
• Perform electrical fault finding, PLC modification and control panel work (HMiS, SCADA, PLC, HMiS).
• Provide routine mechanical fault finding and preventive maintenance for plant equipment.

• Minimum Level 3 engineering qualification; apprenticeship training (City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ) preferred.
• Excellent problem‑solving and fault diagnosis skills.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair capabilities.
• Knowledge of PLC systems, control panels, HMiS and SCADA beneficial.
• Adherence to electrical safety standards.

• Salary £43,000 – £45,000 pa.
• 38‑hour working week over 3.5 days.
• 8% contributory pension (5% by you).

Week 1:
Thursday to Saturday
Week 2:
Sunday to Wednesday
Rotating shifts (06:00‑17:00 / 08:00‑19:00 / 11:00‑22:00) two weeks each.
