Senior​/Principal Civil Engineer

Think Recruitment are currently working with a market leading engineering consultancy who, due to continued growth, are looking to recruit an experienced Civil Engineer at either Senior or Principal level.

Our client are a real forward thinking organisation who have built an amazing team over the past 10 years, delivering a variety of interesting and technically challenging projects for clients across the UK. In order to continue to delivering these schemes they are looking for a Civil Engineer to take a lead role in the technical responsibility for civil engineering design delivery and act as Project Manager / Design Manager for the business's consultancy services, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to budget.

• Assist with the development of fee proposals & bids, and new project lead generation.
• Manage project change control and negotiate fee variations with clients.
• Supervise and mentor junior members of staff whilst also offering pro‑active advice in relation to problem solving issues.
• Consult with clients, other staff members, and statutory bodies including Building Control, NHBC, Planning Authorities, Highway Authorities, Environment Agency, Statutory Undertakers etc.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, calculations and drawings.
• Develop concept designs and be actively involved with all projects under your direction.
• Undertake site visits associated with inspections and/or site investigation works.

• Proven background in consultancy or a related field, with senior or principal level experience in civil engineering design delivery.
• Ability to use various computer software programs such as Civils 3D, PDS or Site 3D, Microdrainage or Flow and AutoCAD.
• Ability to maintain high technical standards consistent with the project design brief.
