Senior Planner

Marrons Nottingham office is looking for Senior/Principal/Associate Planners to join our team. • Leading the development and implementation of planning strategies and policies to support sustainable growth and development across the UK.
• Managing planning applications, appeals, and consultations in accordance with relevant policy, legislation and best practices.
• Conducting site assessments, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to inform decision‑making processes.
• Engaging with local communities, businesses, and government agencies to foster positive relationships and address planning‑related issues.
• Providing expert advice and guidance on planning matters to clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
• Drafting Planning Statements, Planning Appraisals and Statements of Case in support of planning applications and planning appeals.
• Monitoring legislative changes, emerging trends, and best practices in planning and urban planning to inform decision‑making and strategy development.

• Previous experience in a Planning role (ideally from within local government, consultancy or development industry)
• A relevant Planning qualification (or working towards one)
• Membership of RTPI or working towards membership
• An understanding of the planning process and systems
• Excellent writing skills with a strong eye for detail and a high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly approachable manner
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently
• Drive, commitment, enthusiasm and a team‑player approach

This hybrid role is East Midlands based, ideally we are looking for someone to be in the Nottingham office 2-3 days per week.
