Senior Civil Engineer

My client is looking for a motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary team in Nottingham.

About the role
Lead and manage civil engineering projects, from feasibility and design through to construction, for a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, schools and care-home developments.
Work closely with clients, architects, contractors, and local authorities to develop safe, cost-effective, compliant and sustainable engineering solutions.
Provide technical oversight, produce detailed designs and drawings, coordinate infrastructure, drainage, highway and site-services design where required.
Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians, contributing to the growth and development of the team.
Ensure projects meet statutory requirements, industry standards, and best-practice guidance.

What they’re looking for
Significant experience in civil or structural engineering consultancy, ideally with experience across a range of project types (residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure).
Strong technical competence, excellent numeracy and IT skills, and familiarity with relevant UK design standards/regulations.
Excellent communication, team working and stakeholder-management skills, able to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, local authorities and internal colleagues.
A flexible, solutions-oriented mindset, with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines and budgets.
Leadership or mentoring experience, comfortable supervising and supporting more junior staff
