HVAC Mechanical Estimator

Position: HVAC Mechanical Estimator (Permanent)
Are you an experienced HVAC Mechanical Estimator looking to join a growing and supportive contractor? Our client, a respected Midlands-based design & build specialist, is seeking a detail-focused Estimator with some HVAC design experience to support a wide range of commercial and industrial projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a technical, fast-paced estimating environment and enjoys working closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams to produce accurate and competitive quotations. You will be based in the Nottingham office, working across diverse, multifaceted HVAC and mechanical projects.

Roles & Responsibilities

* Analyse drawings, specifications and project documents to prepare accurate HVAC/mechanical cost estimates

* Complete detailed take-offs for materials, labour and equipment, ensuring competitive costings

* Collaborate with design teams to review and optimise specifications for performance and value

* Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness

* Prepare and present estimates, proposals and bid documentation aligned with client and project requirements

Skills & Experience

* Experience in HVAC/mechanical estimating with strong technical understanding of HVAC systems

* HND/HNC or degree in Mechanical Building Services or a related field (or equivalent experience)

* Proficient using estimating software, spreadsheets and reading technical drawings

* Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail

* Excellent communicator able to work independently or as part of a wider project team
