Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? An established and fast-growing building services consultancy in Nottingham is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead electrical design from concept through to detailed stages and construction support
Produce and review calculations, reports, specifications, drawings, and BIM models
Carry out electrical load assessments, distribution design, lighting, fire alarm, data, and security system layouts
Oversee junior engineers and contribute to their technical development
Attend design meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
Conduct site inspections, surveys, and commissioning support when required
Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practice guidance
Contribute to sustainable, low-energy electrical design solutions

What we’re looking for:

You will bring strong technical expertise and a proven background in building services design.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in an electrical design role within the building services sector
Strong understanding of electrical distribution, lighting design, containment, LV systems, and life-safety systems
Experience using software such as Amtech, Dialux / Relux, AutoCAD, and Revit
Good knowledge of UK building regulations, British Standards, and industry design guides
Ability to lead projects independently and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and stakeholders
