The RoleAs a Lead Engineer you will own the day‑to‑day delivery of engineering services, ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance is completed to the highest standards.
You Will- Allocate and oversee work for the engineering team, ensuring effective use of time and resources
- Manage budgets related to maintenance activities and specialist contractors
- Protect uptime for business‑critical systems including data rooms, networks and manufacturing assets
- Lead on change control processes and support critical environment audits
- Produce technical reports and participate in emergency call‑out/standby duties
- Monitor environmental conditions and utilities usage to maintain optimal building performance
- Ensure all statutory and critical maintenance tasks are completed
- Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation
- Champion H&S compliance in line with CBRE procedures, permits and standards
- Partner with Facilities Management and EHS teams to support continuous improvement
We’re looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in electrical systems and critical environments.
Essential- Recognised electrical qualifications (Apprenticeship, HND, City & Guilds)
- 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
- Strong supplier/contractor management skills
- Experience monitoring utilities and environmental conditions
- Strong communication skills and confidence in decision‑making
- PC literate with strong MS Office capability
- Experience working within data centres or critical environments
- Knowledge of L8 water hygiene
- BMS, HVAC, UPS or standby power exposure
- IOSH or equivalent H&S training
