Planning and Highways Solicitor

Position: Planning and Highways Solicitor (Contract)
Service Care Solutions is working in partnership with a reputable local authority, based in Nottingham, which is looking to recruit an experienced Planning and Highways Solicitor with a strong focus on highways law. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to work on high-profile public sector matters that directly impact local infrastructure, development, and communities.

Role:
Planning and Highways Solicitor

Location:

Local Authority – Nottingham – hybrid
Umbrella Rate: £50-£55ph
PAYE Inc Rate: £44.10 - £48.44ph
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing

Key responsibilities will include:

Advising on highways law, including road adoption, stopping up, diversion orders, and Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs).
Drafting and advising on Section 38 and Section 278 agreements.
Supporting development and regeneration projects from a highways and planning perspective.

About you:

3+ years of PQE in Planning and Highways law as a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
Have demonstrable experience in highways law within a local authority or public sector setting.
Have a working knowledge of planning law and related :

Hybrid working.
Weekly pay – the rate offered will depend on experience and interview performance.
Flexible hours.
