Your role as a CleanerWe are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking people who take pride in their work and have excellent customer service skills. Based at the University Park Campus, main duties include:
- Providing both planned and reactive cleaning services.
- Working independently and as part of a team.
- Cleaning a wide range of areas such as offices, laboratories, toilets, corridors, and stairwells.
- Supporting the local cleaning team with covering holidays, sickness, deep cleaning and any urgent requests/inquiries assigned by the line manager.
As a member of our team, you will have a positive and energetic approach and be a colleague that the team looks forward to working with. You will have a keen eye for detail, aim to deliver exceptional operational service and standards at all times, particularly in demanding and busy service times.
Previous cleaning experience within a similar environment is desirable. Full training will be given. Further details regarding the duties for the role can be found on the attached job role profile.
Positions Available- Weekday M‑F Post: 15 hours per week (5 shifts per week, 3 hours each day, mainly Monday to Friday) – working between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Flexibility will be required.
- Weekend S‑S Post: 6 hours per week (2 shifts per week, 3 hours each day, mainly Saturday and Sunday) – working between 6:00 am and 9:15 am. Flexibility will be required.
These are permanent positions on a rolling contract, required to be worked throughout the full year (52 weeks), to include out‑of‑term/student vacation periods. For the days worked over the weekend there is an additional 20% pay for hours worked over the weekend.

The successful candidates will be expected to attend statutory training courses and any refresher training required by the department. Planned training courses are offered throughout the year, either during a typical week (Monday to Friday) or on set weekend dates.
