AboutThe Role
Boots Opticians has just had its 4th record‑breaking year. Our Property team is delivering more new stores and store interventions than ever before and the team is expanding.
As the Property Manager – Strategic Delivery, you will deliver our FY26‑FY30 strategic growth plan via projects that will expand the Boots Opticians portfolio by approximately 70 schemes per annum through both Core and Franchise ownership. This is a national, field‑based role reporting to the Head of Property.

Key Responsibilities- Plan, communicate, engage and deliver the Property & portfolio strategic growth plan via Projects Moose and Harris.
- Project‑manage cross‑functional support office teams to deliver the 5‑year property growth and intervention plan on time and on cost.
- Influence and engage key stakeholders across Boots UK property, Boots HCare & BOPS Support office teams.
- Enact the portfolio strategy for Opticians including new practice openings, refits, rebrands, and relocations.
- Translate the Property strategy into tangible plans, store formats and actions delivered through contractors and Boots UK property teams.
- Work closely with Core and Franchise estate, Finance and Commercial teams.
- Maintain close relationships with the BOPS Property Implementation Managers and the Property Administrator.
- Manage all contractors and suppliers involved in strategic schemes.
- Plan, prioritise and schedule stores within BOPS property growth plans.
- Develop individual scheme designs, plans, contracting, costing and scheduling.
- Experience in property leadership roles across a geography.
- Significant exposure to Franchise and Company‑owned business models.
- Diligent, planned, organised and creative, able to translate strategic plans into store‑specific actions.
- Commercially astute with strong financial understanding of Finance, P&L, ROI and investment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver solutions at pace and challenge the business where required.
- Experienced property professional capable of delivering in‑year and 5‑year future plans without line management.
- Self‑starter, balancing autonomy with accountability and resilience.
- Builds strong internal and external relationships with influence and impact.
- Works collaboratively but also independently at pace, within a framework.
- Must have a driving licence.
