CNC Setter Operator

CNC Programmer/ Setter/ Operator Pinxton I Permanent £35,000- £45,000 per annum dependent on experience Bridgestone Group are pleased to be working with an established engineering business in the Pinxton area who are seeking an experienced and motivated CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator with strong expertise in Siemens-controlled milling and turning machines. The successful candidate will be confident programming directly at the machine and able to work from detailed engineering drawings to produce high-precision components across a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminium, nylon, phosphor bronze, mild steel and more.

Key Responsibilities Program, set and operate CNC milling and turning machines using Siemens controls (810D / 828D / Proturn / Prototrak) Machine precision components to tight tolerances Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documentation Carry out quality inspections using manual measuring tools Monitor tooling condition and make performance-enhancing adjustments Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment Work flexibly to meet production deadlines and adapt to changing priorities Collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate clearly with managers Shift Pattern;
Monday to Friday;7am to 4pm Requirements Proven experience operating Siemens-controlled CNC milling and/or turning machines Confident in on-machine programming using Siemens language Ability to independently set up jobs and adjust tool and work offsets Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Competent with precision measuring equipment (micrometres, verniers, height gauges, etc.) Reliable, adaptable and highly attentive to detail Willingness to work occasional out-of-hours to support breakdowns or fluctuating workloads
