Materials Scheduler & Planner

Job Summary

Generate a detailed production schedule based on the production plan to maximize resource use and meet established production specifications and schedules. Feed information on production capacity issues and material availability daily, and release manufacturing work orders.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a detailed production schedule from the production plan.
  • Execute daily plant‑level Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) to manage production requirements to meet delivery schedules.
  • Establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipment dates per the master schedule/plan.
  • Monitor schedule adherence, identify root causes for deviation, and take follow‑up improvement action.
Qualifications For

The Role
  • Good operational understanding of purchasing and materials control processes.
  • Basic knowledge of pull/push systems and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
  • Strong organisational and team‑working skills.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Willingness to develop professionally.
