OverviewEMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in Nottingham that is currently in the market for a Skilled TIG Welder to join their company on a Permanent basis.

Due to internal changes and off the back of continued success, our client is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to manufacture mission-critical components for the aviation and defence sectors.
Your responsibilities will includeAs a Precision Fabricator, you will be responsible for performing highly controlled joining processes to achieve components that meet stringent airworthiness and structural integrity standards.
You Will:- Perform high-quality TIG welding on different metal alloys
- Use jigs and fixtures to prepare and assemble parts; this includes cutting and grinding
- Inspect your work using measuring tools (like Vernier callipers) to check that dimensions are perfect
- Ensure all welds meet the required quality standards and drawing specifications
- Read and understand technical drawings and instructions to perform welds correctly
- At least 3+ years of experience
- Working within highly regulated sectors such as Aerospace and Defence
- Experience with brazing (e.g., to ABP2-4099) is a plus.
- Familiarity with standard welding joints (Butt and Fillet)
- Ability to weld thin materials, typically between 0.35mm and 2.0mm
- Experience welding Titanium, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Nickel Alloys, and Carbon Steel
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
