Job Title:

Electrical Fitter/ Panel Wirer Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Fitter to join our team. This role involves the assembly of products in accordance with instructions provided by the Assembly Manager, ensuring compliance with the production schedule and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Assembly:
    • Accurately assemble a variety of bench and frame-mounted products based on drawing specifications, ensuring the correct components are selected and used.
    • Ensure that all assembly work is performed to the correct drawing revision as specified in the build pack.
    • Accurately log time spent on tasks using the booking terminals.
    • Maintain in-house quality standards for components used in the assembly process.
  • Self-Inspection:
    • Conduct thorough self-inspection of completed work prior to passing it to other departments for further processing.
    • Identify any issues and report them promptly to the Assembly Manager for resolution.
  • Workplace Maintenance:
    • Ensure a clean and organized working environment is maintained at all times.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Provide feedback to the engineering team via the Continuous Improvement System, identifying opportunities for enhancing product assembly and efficiency.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven ability to mount electrical hardware and components to frames and panels.
    • Competency in wiring low voltage instrumentation, 110v/230v mains equipment, and high-power 3-phase equipment, adhering to various global standards.
    • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
    • Capability to work independently within an assembly area, as well as collaborate on larger projects when required.
    • A proactive approach to problem-solving and communication.
    General Duties
  • Compliance:
    • Adhere to company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, including Health, Safety, Environmental, and Equal Opportunity guidelines.
    • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and processes in line with the ISO Quality Management System (QMS).
    • Participate in training and evaluations according to the guidelines set out in the Company Handbook.
  • Reporting

    This position reports directly to the Assembly Manager.

    Key Deliverables
  • Efficiently assemble products within the standard time or better.
  • Maintain high-quality standards for all work carried out.
  • Generate Modification Request Notices (MRNs) when issues are identified, including:
    • Problems with the Bill of Materials (BOM).
    • Issues with the drawings, such as missing or unclear information, or suggestions to improve assembly efficiency.
  • 8 – 4.30 mon
    - Thursday and 8-1 (no lunch break ) on a Friday
