Practice Nurse

Overview

Practice Nurse — Locum Contract, based across Nottingham. The role is within the GP Practice with focus on providing leadership to junior nursing team, in collaboration with the Nurse Lead and General Practitioners, developing an effective, quality-driven Practice Nurse Service. Promote integrated nursing practice within the wider nursing team (Practice Nurses, District Nurses and Health Visitors) underpinned by the development of evidence-based practice guidelines, for shared delivery of care to the whole practice population.

Ensure clinical effectiveness by monitoring key quality markers relating to guidelines. You will see patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional, advising on continuing medical and nursing needs. These patients will have booked appointments but may also require extra or emergency care.

• Provide leadership to junior members of the Practice Nursing Team, in collaboration with the Nurse Lead and General Practitioners.
• Develop an evidence-based Practice Nurse Service in partnership with the wider nursing team.
• Promote integrated nursing practice and monitor quality markers related to guidelines to ensure clinical effectiveness.
• See patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional, managing booked appointments and addressing additional or emergency care needs as required.
