Assistant Farm Manager – Broilers

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Farm Manager to join Pilgrim's Europe. The role will focus on maintaining the smooth and efficient running of the Broiler farm, working closely with the Farm Manager, and ensuring animal welfare and environmental responsibility.

• Assist and support the Farm Manager in day‑to‑day operations, maintaining accurate records of birds, feed, supplies, and stock levels.
• Ensure timely ordering of essential stock and maintain adequate supplies.
• Implement practices that reduce negative environmental impact, such as waste reduction and recycling.
• Manage, motivate, and train Farm Assistants in all areas of farm operation.
• Communicate farm performance to the Farm Manager, ensuring each flock performs efficiently.
• Maintain the professional appearance of the farm and dwellings, and deputise for the Farm Manager in absence.
• Respond to radio pager for alarms and emergency call outs.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Farm Manager, with a primary focus on bird welfare.

• Previous experience in a poultry farm environment.
• Level 2 / 3 Poultry Passport Qualification.
• Prepared to undertake NVQs.
• Flexibility and reliability.
• Self‑motivated and proactive.
• Good communication skills.
• Sound decision making.
• Computer literate.

5 days a week from 7 shift pattern, with a sixth day as required, covering 48 hours a week.
