Quality Control Testing Technician – Nottingham, UK

We’re looking for a Quality Control Testing Technician who takes pride in accuracy and enjoys being hands‑on in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you’ll make a meaningful impact on the quality and reliability of specialised materials used in high‑performance industries.

Permanent, Full‑time.

Working Hours:

Weekly rotating shifts – Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 & 10:00 – 18:00.

Responsibilities
  • Perform QC testing on both incoming materials and manufactured products.
  • Ensure compliance with BS EN 9100, BS EN ISO 14001 and BS EN ISO 45001 standards.
  • Work with autoclaves to support cure validation and quality requirements.
  • Conduct visual inspection, dimensional checks and mechanical testing.
  • Support non‑destructive testing (NDT) activities such as ultrasonic inspection where required.
  • Record and maintain accurate data for full material traceability.
  • Contribute to KPI tracking and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support investigations into material or process non‑conformance.
  • Keep equipment and work areas organised, calibrated and safe.
Requirements
  • Experience in a quality, testing or inspection environment (manufacturing preferred).
  • A strong eye for detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Competent IT skills:
    Microsoft Excel and Word essential.
  • Good communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously once trained.
  • Experience with any of the following is a bonus:
  • Autoclaves.
  • Ultrasonic testing or other NDT.
