Overview
Research Associate/Fellow (Fixed-term) at University of Nottingham. This role is a fixed-term appointment to join a multidisciplinary project funded by BBSRC. The aim is to develop novel broad-spectrum antiviral compounds for use in animals and humans. The work is a collaboration across the Schools of Pharmacy, Chemistry, and Veterinary Medicine and Science.
Salary£35,608 to £47,389 per annum, depending on skills and experience (minimum £35,608 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The post holder will undertake research and day-to-day management of the biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics and drug delivery aspects of the project. The role requires a high degree of competence in one or more of the following areas and an aptitude for critical thinking and collaborative research:
- In vitro and in vivo Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) development of novel host-centric antiviral candidates.
- Work within the Division of Molecular Therapeutics and Formulation, School of Pharmacy, led by Dr Pavel Geshkovich.
- Contribute to collaborative research with teams across multiple departments.
A candidate should have, be close to completion of, or have equivalent experience with a PhD in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline, with an interest in pharmacokinetics, bioanalysis and drug delivery. An aptitude for critical thinking and a flexible approach to collaboration is vital.
Contract detailsThis is a full-time (36.25 hours/week), fixed-term post for an initial period of 1 year, starting on 1 March 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter), with potential 1 year extension (total 2 years), subject to satisfactory progress. Job share arrangements may be considered.
