Business Development Manager

CK Group are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a growing independent Biotechnology company at their site based in Nottingham on a permanent basis. This is fantastic opportunity for someone with proven sales experience with the Life Sciences / CROspace.

GLP accredited contract research laboratory that provides Histology services to the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Sectors.

This is a client facing role and would suit a highly motivated individual with proven sales experience selling CRO services within the life sciences industry. Experience in histology is preferred but training will be provided.

• To maintain and develop client base across the Pharma / biotech / CROs sectors
• To arrange and undertake client visits throughout the UK Europe and the US and be part of various exhibitions
• To work with clients to understand their requirements and generate project proposals
• To make appropriate connections with other services providers for potential collaboration opportunities

• PhD qualified in life sciences or equivalent and commercial experience or prior sales background in histology and IHC preferred
• Business development experience in pharmaceutical biotech and / or CRO space
• Industrial experience in the biotech sector with knowledge of regulatory standards (GLP ISO etc)
• Demonstrated ability to grow customer accounts
• Client focussed approach with the ability to build strong client relationships
• Willingness to travel Internationally
