We're recruiting for a Senior Software Developer (PHP) for our client based in the East Midlands. This role involves building digital services that meet user needs and comply with the Digital by Default service standard, working in Agile teams to deliver high-quality software.

• Creating and maintaining bespoke large applications using PHP and Type Script.
• Developing user-focused digital services.
• Collaborating in Agile teams (Scrum).
• Unit testing, version control (Git), and work tracking (Jira).
• Supporting documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Developing and mentoring junior developers.

• Enterprise-Level PHP Development – Proven experience building and maintaining complex, scalable systems.
• Frameworks – Hands‑on expertise with Zend
  , and/or Laravel
  .
• Database Skills – Strong command of MySQL
  , including query optimisation and relational data modelling.
• API Integrations – Experience designing and integrating with RESTful APIs in a production environment.
• Cloud-Based Environments – Familiarity with deploying and maintaining applications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Version Control – Solid Git workflow knowledge for collaborative development.

Nottingham or Birmingham | Hybrid working (as and when needed).

30% pension contribution + 25 days annual leave (increases by 1 each year up to 30).

Mid‑Senior level.
