Controls Software Integration Developer
Express Recruitment is supporting one of Nottingham’s longest established software companies. With a recent merger and global customer growth, the client is seeking a Controls Software Integration Developer to join their growing and rapidly evolving software development team.
Base pay rangeGenerous starting salary of up to £55,000, plus a non‑contractual annual bonus scheme, private healthcare, flexible working, paid overtime and genuine opportunities for progression.
Job TypeFull Time, Permanent. Working hours Monday to Friday 8:00am‑4:30pm. Office‑based with occasional client site visits; hybrid working options after 6‑12 months.
Responsibilities- Develop robust and future‑proof integrations using C, C# .NET, APIs, SQL and MVC frameworks within Visual Studio
- Design, develop and deploy integration solutions that connect the company’s automation platforms with customer ERP and business systems
- Work on internal projects to enhance and modernise the firm’s seamless integrations through the development of API‑driven solutions
- Provide regular support alongside the development team in maintaining legacy systems when required
- Maintain and enhance Windows‑based desktop applications (Win Forms, WPF and legacy systems)
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to scope, design and deliver integration projects
- Build and maintain scalable data solutions leveraging SQL, XML and JSON
- Debug, optimise and deploy performance‑tuned applications
- Produce accurate technical documentation and ensure all digital information is stored correctly
- Participate in occasional travel across the UK and overseas to client sites to support the wider team with on‑site commissioning and configuration delivery
- Development experience in C, C#, C++, SQL and MVC in Visual Studio
- Proficiency in SQL querying, reporting, stored procedures and database optimisation
- Applied knowledge of JSON and XML data structures
- Experience using Git and JIRA for version control and tracking support tickets
- Experience configuring and implementing ERP systems highly advantageous
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am‑4:30pm
Salary: c £55,000 per annum D.O.E + Out of Hours Overtime + Annual Bonus
