As our Roadside Recovery Driver, you’ll go the extra mile for our customers. Anything can happen whilst driving, but it’s OK we are the AA! We get everyone back on the road safely and get their day moving again.
On Target Earnings- £41,000 for a CE licence
- £35,000 for a C licence
- Guaranteed minimum £33,862 for CE (HGV
1) licence - £30,490 for C (HGV
2) licence

Shift Details- Rolling roster: 18 days worked out of 28 with 2 weekends off. Standard shifts are 9 h 45 min (inc. 45 min break). Shift flexibility may require up to 12 h per shift.

You’ll get their day moving again by using your technical skills to load vehicles onto your truck and getting the vehicle and customer to a garage for repair, or wherever they need to be.
Whatwill I be doing?
- Communicator:
You’re great with your customers, keep them calm, reassuring and professional. - Self‑starter:
Work independently and as part of a team, driving to different locations in all weathers. - Problem solver:
Thrive in all situations and use your expertise to solve varied issues.
- Live within 25 miles or 1 hour travel from the depot.
- Full driving category C licence (HGV
2). CE (HGV
1) desirable but not essential. - Driver CPC qualification and digital drivers/tachograph card.
- Comfortable adapting to new technology – training provided.
- Willingness to work shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
