Recruitment Consultant at Alexander Steele - Operations, Supply Chain + Engineering

Alexander Steele are working with an established bakery product manufacturer which are looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join the team.

• In-House Repairs and Fabrication: Carrying out internal repairs and providing a rapid response to equipment breakdowns to reduce the company's reliance on external contractors.
• Preventative Maintenance and Reliability: Conducting regular inspections, repairs, and improvements to ensure equipment reliability, minimize production downtime, and extend the lifespan of critical assets.
• Standards and Quality Assurance: Ensuring all fabricated and welded components meet food industry standards and monitoring equipment performance to prevent quality issues.
• Technical Documentation and Stock Management: Creating CAD drawings for future reference and machining parts to be kept in stock for future use.
• Systems Oversight: Maintaining and overseeing the functionality of various production systems, including tortilla and chip lines, packaging equipment, silos, pumps, and mixers.

• Mon - Fri - 8am - 5.30pm
