GVA Lighting is looking for a Process Engineering Manager to join our team.

• Build and maintain a world‑class Lean Manufacturing Processes at GVA Lighting.
• Continually improve and adjust manufacturing processes to achieve Company’s goals and targets by balancing capacity and maximizing throughput, monitor and control critical metrics and achieve KPIs.
• Be a champion in and have a proven record of scaling up manufacturing capacity, optimizing layout, developing new production lines, manufacturing systems, introducing automation.
• Be initiator and a process owner of continuous improvement initiatives on production floor, 5S and Kaizen implementation.
• Supervise, coach and mentor a team of process engineers and technicians, plan, direct and coordinate their daily activities, provide feedback on performance.
• Implement preventive maintenance routines for existing production equipment to reduce downtime and suggest acquiring a new equipment to improve productivity, quality, safety, and throughput.
• Be a process owner of new product introduction (NPI) activity, release and approve drawings for production, participate in Design Review meetings with multidisciplinary team.
• Be a process owner of Production Readiness Reviews (PRR) and process First Article Inspections (FAI) to ensure achieving desired capacity and quality of introduced manufacturing processes.

• Be an expert and take responsibility in the Production Management and Maintenance Management modules in ERP.
• Verify resource groups, routings, cycle times and BOMs before Work Orders are issued to the shop floor.
• Review and adjust Work Orders to ensure proper material and quantities been used.
• Analyze and investigate manufacturing variances.
• Analyze and correct ERP problems for Production and Maintenance.

• Perform surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with the organization’s policies, procedures, regulations and standards related to employee and facility safety.
• Investigate facility personnel safety incidents, review, and develop remedial action plans, file formal reports and liaise with MOL, Public Health, WSIB and other relevant organizations if required.
• Coordinates and directs the site’s emergency planning and response process, develop and perform employees’ safety trainings.
• Monitor and keep up to date the required safety certifications of GVA employees.
• Facilitates the plant safety committee (JHSC), assists in the development of Committee activities.
• Complete health and safety tasks as assigned.
• Assist with external audits (insurance carrier, fire departments, local agencies) as required and fix outstanding issues.
• Be responsible for the facility’s fire protection system. Maintain records, ensure inspections, conduct fire drills as required and adhere to insurance recommendations.
• Implement and maintain programs, policies, and procedures considering Provincial and Federal legislation and corporate policy.
• Keep records as required to comply with all relevant health, safety and environmental laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 10+ years’ experience in Manufacturing / Process engineering leadership roles preferably with electronics assembly companies.
• Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electronics / Manufacturing Engineering Degree or equivalent.
• High performer and achiever with a proven record.

• Strong technical background and hands‑on experience.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Outstanding analytical skills and root cause analysis expertise.
• Proactive and initiative problem solver.

• Lean Six Sigma, PMP certificates is an asset.
• Solidworks / AutoCAD / ERP systems expertise is an asset.
