We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in the assessment and design of water and wastewater utilities projects, including pumping stations, reservoirs, and treatment facilities. As part of our growing Canadian Water Business, you will work closely with other discipline‑lead engineers to advance and complete projects, managing design teams, project management, and business development.

The successful candidate will lead and oversee complex projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and design guidelines.

• Oversee and prepare detailed design drawings, specifications and cost estimates for electrical systems, including low and medium voltage power distribution, motor control centres, backup hardwired control systems, local equipment control panels, standby power systems (diesel generators), energy monitoring systems (CTs and power monitors), substations, grounding systems, building/utility power interconnections, and building services.
• Prepare electrical condition assessments, develop technical memoranda/reports and capital cost estimates.
• Provide key input into the development of Process Control Narratives, P&, operations and maintenance manuals, and training materials.
• Participate in the preparation of proposals and business development.
• Prepare electrical design calculations during preliminary and detailed design.
• Provide support during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, conducting site inspections, and participating in system testing.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines within our multi‑disciplined project teams.

• 5–10 years of experience designing electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a recognized equivalent; a Master’s degree is an asset.
• Successful candidate must have a P. Eng. designation in good standing.

The successful candidate should have strong working knowledge of CAD systems including AutoCAD, Micro Station, and REVIT modeling, as well as the Ontario Electrical Code, Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code, and applicable NFPA standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

The salary range for this position is $89,600–$134,400. Actual salaries will vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
