American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU Stepdown position with day shifts and pediatric critical care responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Work in a pediatric stepdown unit within a hospital setting
- Care for a diverse pediatric population with conditions ranging from simple to complex
- 12-hour day shifts, three days per week
- Patient care includes monitoring physiological data, assisting with diagnostic procedures, administering medications, and IV management
- Responsible for coordinating and evaluating nursing care for assigned pediatric patients
- Expected to document patient responses, make referrals as needed, and delegate tasks to support staff
- Interaction with families and support teams in both care planning and discharge education
- 50 mile radius rule applies—local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
- Compliance with hospital policies regarding contract extensions and separation requirements
- Active OK or multistate compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year of pediatric ICU or similar acute care nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
