Well established manufacturing firm require a Design Assistant to join their busy design office near Oldham. The successful candidate will report to the technical design Manager and support the team with a broad range of duties.

• Processing and modifying general arrangement drawings
• Producing bills of materials to specific order requirements
• Dealing with customer queries both verbally and via email
• Occasionally assisting with site surveys throughout the UK
• Various administrative tasks within the technical department

We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in manufacturing or construction processes, and a practical understanding of how structures are built and how components interact. Knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, and assembly methods would be good skills to possess.

• General computer skills
• High attention to detail
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office – Excel in particular
• CAD experience is essential
• Technical / manufacturing qualifications would be considered advantageous.
• Driving licence.

Monday to Friday 40 hours

The role will suit individuals currently working as Design Assistant, CAD Designer, Manufacturing Engineer, Design Engineer, Technical Assistant and be living within a commutable distance of Oldham, Commutable from Manchester, Bury, Rochdale, Huddersfield, Holmfirth, Glossop or be willing to relocate.
