Cygnet Kenney House is a hospital for women located in Oldham. The services provide a safe and secure care pathway for women with mental health needs and are now open. We have collaborated with the NHS to develop services to support women from the North West to be treated closer to home. There are three wards:
Billington Ward (12 bed PICU), Baldock Ward (16 bed Acute service), and Harben Ward (16 bed mental health rehabilitation and recovery).

You’ll be working 42 hours a week (12 hour shifts including alternative weekends).

We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the care of patients by assisting the Occupational Therapist with various duties.

• Encouraging patients to access and become involved in a variety of activities as well as maintaining existing hobbies.
• Planning and implementing therapy programmes while ensuring appropriate materials are obtained.
• Contributing ideas, facilitating events and activities in a safe manner.

• Experience and/or a passion for working in healthcare and with learning disabilities
• Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy
• A creative flair and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
• An awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable)
