Site Manager; Civil Engineering Background

Position: Site Manager (Civil Engineering Background)
Join a well-established and expanding civil engineering firm delivering high-quality infrastructure, remediation, and groundworks projects across the North West. We're looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong Site Engineering background to oversee a range of challenging and rewarding civils schemes.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead site operations from start to finish, ensuring high standards, safety, and compliance

* Work with Contracts Managers and QS teams on scheduling, labour, plant and material planning

* Coordinate subcontractors and site teams, ensuring delivery to spec and drawings

* Use and understand site surveying instruments (GPS, total stations, lasers)

* Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries, and photographic documentation

* Carry out site inductions, safety briefings, and implement Construction Phase Plans

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Site Manager with setting-out / engineering experience

* Willing to carry out engineering tasks (setting out etc.) when required

* Background in public realm, groundworks, highways, remediation, and drainage projects

* Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and site logistics

* Qualifications:

HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

* SMSTS, CSCS (preferably Black/Gold), NRSWA

* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel within the North West
