Theyre also a vital way for us to share the magic of Forget Me Not far and wide.

As Shop Manager youll have the shop running like clockwork and the team of dedicated volunteers achieving sales targets and delivering excellent customer this hands-on role your excellent talent for organisation will ensure the effective management of a team of colleagues and volunteers to achieve sales targets and maintain excellent merchandising standards.

As one of our ambassadors in the community youll help us deliver class-leading customer service while also complying with hospice and retail policies and procedures and security health and safety standards in the shop.

JOB DESCRIPTION Role Summary

Our vision is to deliver pioneering care through pregnancy childhood and loss wherever families need us whatever the future holds. This role supports our vision by leading motivating and inspiring a team consisting of staff and volunteers to maximise the profit from the shop which will directly support the work of the hospice this will be delivered by delivering and exceed agreed KPI performance targets.

Deliver first class Customer Service across all areas of the shop operation whilst ensuring that all of the hospice retail and online (where applicable) policies and procedures are complied with and ensuring that the appropriate standards of security health and safety and basic store standards are in place at all times.

Main Duties and

Key Responsibilities Income & Budgets

Achieve and wherever possible exceed sales budgets for the shop and online department and proactively address any shortfall in sales with support from the Area Manager.

Manage the Gift Aid process effectively and efficiently.

Research monitor and develop pricing structures to ensure price levels for the shop maximise profit.(e.g. to include seasonal changes external events etc.).

Customer Service / Public Relations

Proactively drive excellent customer service both in the shop and online (where applicable)

Proactively promote Forget Me Not Childrens Hospice campaigns and core messages as directed by Area Manager.

Act as a local Forget Me Not Childrens Hospice Ambassador in the local community ensuring that all customers are valued by staff and volunteers.

Enhance Forget Me Not Childrens Hospice image through a professional retail service ensuring that all queries about our services are answered promptly.

Ensure shop and eBay (where applicable) Facebook pages are managed within policy guidelines.

Merchandising Premises & H&S

Establish and maintain high standards of merchandising throughout the shop creating innovative merchandise displays and making maximising use of window and internal display opportunities.

Ensure eBay and online shop reflect a high standard of photography and description content (where applicable).

Achieve and maintain a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the shop and online (where applicable) areas.

Ensure that all statutory responsibilities are met including Fire and Health & Safety Regulations.

Be the designated key holder opening and closing the premises.

Stock

Ensure the shop and eBay shop (where applicable) have sufficient high quality donated stock by proactively developing and implementing plans to increase local donations and by liaising with the Area Manager when required.

Work with the local community and businesses to develop regular donations of good quality stock.

Monitor and rotate stock so that no items remain on the shop floor longer than agreed time limits and it is processed efficiently transferring stock to other shops as necessary.

Monitor eBay listings to ensure items are not listed for long periods of time (where applicable).

Ensure that the stock sorting areas are organised efficiently and safely at all times.

Use management information and reports available to ensure the shop eBay and online shop (where applicable) are commercial and that price ranges are in-line with optimum levels.
